# Contact *the Kite team.*

say hello

Kite is a student project, so there is no sales team or support line. Here is how to reach the people who build it.

## At Cal Hacks 13.0

During judging on Sunday, October 25, 2026 (10:30 AM to 12:30 PM), we are at our assigned table at the Palace of Fine Arts, 3601 Lyon Street, San Francisco. Come and wear Kite: put on a sleep mask and the AirPods, walk a few steps, and hear it stop you.

## Questions, ideas and bug reports

Open an issue on the project's GitHub repository, [github.com/KingArthur207/kite/issues](https://github.com/KingArthur207/kite/issues). Tell us what you tried, what you expected and what happened; for the earpiece, the terminal output of `python -m earpiece selftest` helps a lot.

## If you are blind or low vision, or an orientation and mobility instructor

We would especially like to hear from you. Kite has not yet been tested with blind travellers, and the design decisions that matter most (when to beep, when to speak, when to stay quiet) should come from people who walk with a cane or a guide dog every day. Please reach out through GitHub, and tell us how you'd like us to get back to you.

## Safety concerns

If you find a way Kite could give a wrong or dangerous instruction, please report it as an issue with "safety" in the title. Kite is a prototype and must not be used as the only aid on a real walk.
